Sukabumi

Sukabumi stone.

The green volcanic stone from Indonesia — what gives the water that deep green that shifts with the light.

What we do.

The same six service lines as everywhere else in the country, with our own crew.

Design and construction

Site visit, photorealistic 3D design and reinforced-concrete construction with structural calculations. A typical residential pool takes 8 to 12 weeks.

Remodeling

Finish replacement, leak repair, equipment swaps and hydraulic upgrades on pools that already exist.

Monthly maintenance

Chemicals, cleaning and equipment checks on a scheduled visit. We also service pools we did not build.

Equipment and heating

Hayward and Pentair pumps, filters, gas, electric or solar heating, plus lighting and phone control.

What has to be solved here.

A pool is not built the same way everywhere. This is what the area forces you to resolve.

Why the water looks green

The colour of the water does not come from the water — it comes from the finish. Sukabumi is fine-grained green volcanic stone, and that green reads through the water and shifts with the hour and the depth. No two pieces match, so the shell never looks repeated.

How it behaves

It absorbs less heat than glass mosaic, which matters on the edge where people walk barefoot. It is natural stone, so it is porous: water chemistry has to stay in range or it marks.

Where it goes

Across the whole shell, and it can carry on into edges, coping and paving so pool and terrace read as one piece. It is laid piece by piece, so it is more labour than mesh-backed mosaic.
