There is no best one: there is one that fits the use, the site climate and what you want to pay monthly.
- SolarTechno-Solis panels. No running cost once installed, but it depends on sun: it performs differently in Guanacaste than in the northern zone.
- Heat pumpTakes heat from the air and moves it into the water. The most efficient for continuous operation; models like the Pentair UltraTemp and Hayward HeatPro.
- GasHeats fast and shuts off. The option when the pool is used occasionally and you want the water ready for the weekend.
- Thermal coverThe accessory that pays back most and gets bought least: it stops the overnight loss, which is where the heat you paid for goes.

How warm does the water get?
Typical residential: 28 to 32 °C (82–90 °F). Spas: up to 38–40 °C (100–104 °F), with digital control.
Does it work for pools that are already built?
Yes. Heating integrates with your existing hydraulic system.
