Guanacaste and the Pacific
Pools by the ocean.
The coast is harder on a pool: salt in the air, direct sun all year and sand entering the system. We build and remodel with that in mind, from Santa Cruz down to Coto Brus.
What changes when the pool is on the coast.
It is not the same job with a nicer view. Materials, equipment and maintenance all change.
Salt attacks anything metallic
Ladders, handrails, niches and hardware in the right grade of stainless steel. That is the difference between five years and fifteen.
Sun fades cheap finishes
Glass tile holds its tone under direct sun; budget coatings dull within a couple of seasons.
Sand and leaves load the filtration
Skimmers and filter are sized above the minimum, because the solid load is higher than in the Central Valley.
Working far from the shop
We move our own crew and coordinate purchasing: that is how Punta Leona and Jacó Bay were done.

For developments, hotels and condominiums.
If you manage property in the area, this is more useful than a catalogue.
Commercial and hospitality work
Punta Leona is a commercial project: a 45 m² shell with spa, swim area and sun shelf, smart system and lit waterfall.
Remodelling without demolition
At Pinilla and Jacó Bay we replaced finish and equipment over the existing structure — the cheapest route when the shell is sound.
Maintenance with reporting
Monthly plans with a record of chemistry and equipment status, useful when the owner does not live on the property.
One party responsible
Design, civil works, equipment and installation with the same company. No blame to pass between subcontractors.
