Infinity edge

Infinity edge pools in Costa Rica.

The edge where the water disappears into the landscape. Engineering, levelling and surge tank handled by our own crew.

What we do.

The same six service lines as everywhere else in the country, with our own crew.

Design and construction

Site visit, photorealistic 3D design and reinforced-concrete construction with structural calculations. A typical residential pool takes 8 to 12 weeks.

Remodeling

Finish replacement, leak repair, equipment swaps and hydraulic upgrades on pools that already exist.

Monthly maintenance

Chemicals, cleaning and equipment checks on a scheduled visit. We also service pools we did not build.

Equipment and heating

Hayward and Pentair pumps, filters, gas, electric or solar heating, plus lighting and phone control.

What has to be solved here.

A pool is not built the same way everywhere. This is what the area forces you to resolve.

What makes it infinity edge

A lowered wall the water spills over continuously into a catch basin, then into a surge tank that returns it to the pool. The vanishing effect depends entirely on that edge being level to the millimetre along its whole length.

Where it makes sense

Where there is a view: hillside, cliff, ocean or valley. On a flat, enclosed lot the effect is lost and the extra cost is not justified — we say so before quoting, not after.

What changes in the system

It needs a second pump for the surge return, more total water volume and automatic level control. That is more equipment than a conventional pool of the same size, and it belongs in the budget from day one.
